The Mass Effect universe is about to be more spectacular

Mass Effect is one of the best Science Fiction action RPG Trilogies to grace us with its programming. It’s not long until the follow up/Sequel to Mass Effect will be released and Mass Effect 3 starts pre-production soon. I, for one: am about to explode waiting for it.

If you haven’t seen the trailers---which if you haven’t ---you must be sitting in a washing machine. Be warned this is a SPOILER ALERT! *Mr Daniel looks both ways* Shepard is back, along with a number of new people to add to his team. But that is not all. If you remember, the legend Lance Henricksen, voice artist of Admiral Hackett on the first game, however with the sequel to Mass Effect we have a wide range of notable actors and actresses from Hollywood and the Science Fiction genre.

Enter Martin Sheen---the President, Keith David (the original Mass Effect, Cat in Coraline, Riddick universe, & Requiem for a Dream), Seth Green (Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Buffy), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galatica, Human Target, & Burn Notice), Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Warehouse 13), and many others including Michael Dorn, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jennifer Hale. However, if you are as much as a geek as the rest of us, then yes straight from the ‘verse’, the fake Baldwin himself, Mr. Adam Baldwin!

Now, cast list aside, Mass Effect is going to be amazing. More so than the first and this is why. They’ve had an opportunity to work out the bugs with the previous game (unless, like me, you bought the PC version and most were already sorted). They’ve had time to work with the amazing Adrien Cho to create an even more deep and vibrant world! BioWare will unveil ‘The Cerberus Network’ on January 26th players can start download bonus content for free through a single use unlock code which will come with the digital and retail versions of the game. The DLC pack will include new missions and in-game items. BioWare has at least one more DLC pack in store for Mass Effect 2 which will focus on vehicles and armour.

“We’re going to surpass the extraordinary gaming experience we brought our fans in Mass Effect by delivering intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story,” –Dr. Ray Muzyka (Gereral manager & CEO BioWare and General Manager & Vice President, EA)

This time you are creating your team out of galactic misfits in Mass Effect 2. This includes criminals, mystics, and an ultra-violent Krogan, so really, it’s all on you isn’t it. Mix these personal choices with the gloriously designed universe, star cruisers and technology; you have an amazing piece of Science Fiction. Asimov would be proud.
